Pretty comfortable boots

"I bought these in preparation to go on more hikes. They have been comfortable so far but I’m not used to wearing boots. The first day I wore them for around 12 hour straight and the back of my ankle swelled up and was very painful to touch where the top of the boot was digging into my ankle. After breaking in, they’ve been very comfy and stylish. Don’t wear them on the first day for hours at a time, and wear thick socks to break in initially. Other than that a very good shoe."

"Nice wide toe area and a comfortable boot. But the fabric of the padding around the ankle area is really rough. Fine with socks but terrible if your socks slip down and your skin rubs on the padding. Still nice boots and Im happy with them. Size-wise, they are half a size smaller than I normally wear, so I'd say they run a tad large."

Women's Targhee IV

"Can't rate the IV fully yet. I have owned 3 pairs of Targhees. They are wide fit and comfortable however they DO NOT last well. Current pair of III's after 10 months of outdoor use the two parts of the sole have separated (the black and the light brown). IV may be better but sole looks similar."

  • Then again, if you're wearing your KEENS daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free.
