Sun Shade Great!
"Sun shade is perfect. Heaps of space so doesn’t block little ones view. Easily works for light rain cover too. Rain Cover when used as per the instructions doesn’t fit properly. It pulls the sun shade cover down too far so there is hardly any room underneath for their view. If you connect the top clips to the top loops instead of side ones, and connect the bottom hooks to they side of the stand instead of bottom it won’t pull as tight and it’s much better."

"I had bought this a month ago for my uncle who visited me three weeks ago. I thought it is a baby carrier, but it was just a sun shade. I also bought the carrier right away. He came here with his little baby, so he needed this. He liked it so much and the baby seemed to be comfortable sitting on the chair. She even fell asleep on the way down from the mountain."
What did I do without it!!
"I use this several times a week with my 10 month young son. For the young man, whom refuses to wear hats, this is perfect!! We use it on day walks, as well as when he accompanies me around the property as we construct fences, mend pumps, walk the dogs & talk to the cattle."

- Two people have asked if this fits older models and one answer from "the Kathmandu team" says yes, and another says no, so which is it?!
- Sorry for the confusion, but the more recent comment is correct as this Element Set is designed for the V2 carriers.
- In one answer it’s says it does fit older models and in a seperate one it says it doesn’t. Please confirm if this set fits any of the older model carriers.
- Hi Amy, I have been comparing the carriers. They are different but are similar in size. It is hard to give you a confident 100% answer on this unless I have tried out the Element set myself on an old carrier. What you can do is purchase the Element set and try it at home and see if it fits. If it does not fit, no worries, your have 60 days to return to the store in it's original condition with proof of purchase to exchange or be refunded. Proof of purchase can either be your order conformation email or receipt.
- Does the sun shade have any UV or spf+ protection built in the materials?
- The sun shade has a UPF25 rating.
- What age range is this carrier suitable for
- There isn't a specific age range for this carrier however the child needs to be able to hold their head up and the maximum height of the child to use this is 105cm and maximum load to carry of 18kg-this includes other items placed in the storage part.
- Will this fit older models?
- No it won't, this is designed for the Karinjo Child Carrier V2.
