No to recycled acrylics
"I wanted to buy it but I think it’s so uncool the kids version of this beanie has recycled acrylic fibers. All fabrics shed fibers - especially second generation ones. Where do companies think these fibers are going? Into the air, onto your children, into their bodies. If it’s not natural, it’s not safe. It’s all very well and good to want to create industries to put all our rubbish somewhere, but into fibres we drape ourselves with everyday is not the answer. I wonder why the adult version of this is pure wool but they have put recycled waste into the kids ones. Come on Kathmandu, use your voice and power to drive systemic change; not just end of life cycle ones. This is not an example of standing up for the environment. Let’s be smarter."
