"I was disappointed with my purchase although the umbrella seemed good qulity I was really after something more portable. I purchased one for me and one for my wife but she is refusing to use it saying it is too heavy to carry around, They would be very suitable if you used it during definite rainy days but too heavy to carry around in case it rained. It is designated as a travel umbrella and so this was misleading to me. "Not what I was wanting, sadly. Too big & too heavy. I need to replace my Kathmandu travel umbrella that is tiny & weighs next to nothing. I travel overseas with a very light pack for long periods now & both those features are very important. Please Kathmandu, bring the other umbrella back!"

Could be Better

"It doesn't have a button release on the handle so you need both hands to open it and close it, it isn't good in high winds, and the extension piece is nice in the day but at night (with a black umbrella) you can't tell where the extension piece is. The extension piece also makes it difficult to navigate through tight places because the umbrella isn't all one size."

Does it come with any warranty? It broke in a wind less than 30km/h.
Hi there, The best thing to do is take your travel umbrella into your nearest KMD store to be assessed by one of our management team. If you purchased it on a membership, one of our team members can look up your proof of purchase. They will be able to inform you of the steps going forward.
what to do if the umbrella breaks
Don't go out in the rain and get that into a store to be assessed if the damage was not caused by an external factor and appears to be a result of the manufacturing.
