"Got on special so what an excellent deal! The bag itself was great, just wish it has more outside pockets"
"Good size and beautiful color, perfect for used every day."
"This is an awesome backpack. Fits heaps, light weight and comfortable to wear. Great accessories, I have added pouches and badges. Has become my go to bag for carting my running gear. Disclaimer: I was supplied with a free Trailhead 20L backback by Kathmandu"
"A stylised take on a modern, utilitarian rucksack. It can easily fit all essentials for a day hike or two and is very comfortable and easy on the shoulders and back with good support and airflow. Brought it with me to Aongatete river hike and stuff were still dry even after a few splashes and ‘mishaps’ lol. The game changer though would be customising ‘YOUR’ backpack with the cool add ons! They might be on the pricey side but then again, not having them still makes this rucksack the best there is out there. Disclosure: I received a free Trailhead 20L backpack from Kathmandu."
"The versatility of the backpack was shown in its capabilities of performing on trail along with everyday use. On the trail its light weight design and ergonomic spin support created comfort. The depth within the front pockets was perfect for stuffing rain jackets and snacks. The material showed durability against the Australian bush. Its use for an every day commute was welcomed as it was on the trails. The only thing I would change on the design would be the over strap when used with the roll down buckle was tiresome to unclip. But this can easily be changed for preference by only using one closing function. All members of the hiking group were eager to give the pack a try. "Just one word: great"
"I’ve been using the Trailhead 20L backpack for a couple of months now, primarily as a daily commute pack, and it’s quickly become my go-to. There’s plenty of space for a laptop, water bottle and gym gear, and it feels streamlined rather than bulky. Post-Christmas, I finally had the chance to properly test it on the trail while hiking in the Australian Snowy Mountains. Coming from a 28L day pack, I was a little sceptical that 20L would be enough — especially carrying a 2L bladder, food, wet weather gear, a puffer jacket, fleece and a first aid kit. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything fit comfortably, with room to spare. Overall experience: The pack feels well-designed and thoughtfully laid out. It works equally well for everyday use and outdoor adventures, which is a big win for versatility. Comfort & fit: The shoulder straps are comfortable and easy to adjust, even when the pack is fully loaded. While I generally prefer a thicker waist belt, the narrower waistband didn’t cause any discomfort or issues on the hike. Functionality & features: The roll-top design does take a little getting used to, but after a few uses it’s excellent — flexible, secure and great for adjusting capacity. One thing to note is that the side bottle sleeves won’t fit my Nalgene bottle, though slimmer bottle styles fit without a problem. Durability: The pack held up well across varied terrain and changing mountain conditions, with no issues during the hike. It feels robust and capable of handling regular use. Suggestions for improvement: A slightly wider waist belt and more generous side bottle pockets would make it even better, particularly for hikers who prefer chunkier bottles. Overall, the Trailhead 20L exceeded my expectations. It’s a practical, comfortable and versatile pack that performs just as well on the trail as it does in everyday life. "I have found my new go to day hike pack. It is the perfect size for throwing in all that you need for a walk through the bush for the day and comfortable well carrying the load. The simplicity of the pack works for my taste, but the customisation allows you to make it work to your needs. I am already looking forward to the next adventure with the Trailhead pack. "I found the Trailhead 20l pack very comfortable to wear while hiking and I like that it sits higher on my back than other packs I have been accustomed to. The straps were comfortable and easy to adjust and I like the breast and waist straps. I loved the very accessible front pocket and the folding top closure making it easy to get things out. I also found it an ideal size for a work bag, good for books, files and laptop. I liked the depth of the side pockets making it great for water bottles and thermal cups. I have not experienced it in rain or arduous weather conditions but the material from which it is made appears very strong and durable. One improvement I would like to see as a cyclist, and I found it to have very good air flow between my back and the pack, is more high visibility stripes. Overall I am really enjoying the pack and finding it very versatile for work, hiking and cycling. I received a free Trailhead 20l backpack from Kathmandu."
