- Is the material waterproof as well?
- Hi there, It will be shower proof. So don't stay too long out in the rain. It is more designed to shade you from the sun.
- Can you use it as a "normal" beach umbrella, like standing upright too for the midday sun? Or does it have to rest on one side?
- This is designed to be rested on it's side to be more like a shelter.
- Does it have UVA filter?
- The material is rated to have a uv50+ protection rating.
- How to secure the umbrella pole in sand? We found the pole wanted to keep sliding up and out. What does the "stopping area" refer to on the pole? Guy lines also seem really close to the ground at the rear, so hard to tension? Are there instructions?
- Hi there, the 'stopping area' shows the maximum pole length applicable(about 165cm). It can help to secure the umbrella pole with sand bags, these can be buried in the sand, and rocking the pole back and forth a bit to get it more firmly set in the sand to start with. We don't have specific instructions for the guy lines and these might be best used with sand bags or if you can, pegs buried deep to keep it more secure and then you can tension the lines easier. If needing more practical advice please contact your local store.
