"Good, robust low cut walking shoes. However despite the claims these are NOT waterproof. I have just returned from hiking in Costa Rica. With each downpour my feet were soaked within minutes. Insoles provided are too flimsy and ride up as other reviewers have noted. Best to disguard and replace with Lightfeet or similar insoles. Need care applying Dubbin to the leather not to get it on the rip and compromise the breathability of the shoes. Very good for fair weather."

"The shoes were worn indoors for the first week or so until I was comfortable with them. When I started walking with purpose, though, the insoles slipped up to my ankles! I did not get an online response from Kathmandu so had to buy some glue to stick down the insoles. Apart form that, I quite like them."
