Really bad design - very little useable room.

"Looks good, amazingly dysfunctional. Top pocket design means you lose a significant amount of space in the main compartment. As a result, you can't fit much in these things at all, so they're useless as a weekender. Kathmandu have tried to make this everything to everyone with backpack straps, laptop compartments etc, and it's ended up being nothing useful to most people. Do yourself a favour and spring for the Patagonia version - much simpler, more sensible layout. Thankfully we bought ours on sale."

Flawed design

"One major flaw is that when the bag is on the ground flat, the small compartment opens towards the back so your stuff falls out. You have to flip the bag the wrong way up or up vertical to take your stuff out then flip it back again to get stuff out of the main compartment. Everything else is great apart from that one big annoyance."

"Chose this bag because it opens like a suitcase and can be worn like a backpack. I’m very much a senior, I pack the standard 5 undies/4tops/3bottoms2footwear/1coat + numerous misc items. "Excellent bag for carryon. Separate laptop and drink bottle pockets, suitcase style opening, good straps with mesh back. Love it for carryon only travel and have now bought 3. Only downside is that zips are slightly basic/small, perhaps manufacturer could use stronger zips on the next iteration of this model."
