Grangers Down Wash Concentrate
"My son’s sleeping bag could just about walk by itself. It was that bad that he wouldn’t take it to a friends house when he went to spend the night. I was sceptical that the product would work but it was either that or buying a new one. I followed the instructions for a top loader washing machine. The sleeping bag was hung outside on the clothes line. Every so often I would shake the bag, particularly where the feathers had clumped. It took about 3 days to fully dry and I continued to fluff the bag during that time. The end result was amazing and definitely surpassed my expectations by far!"
Hard to use
"I brought this to wash a pathfinder sleeping bag from Kathmandu, I tried to follow directions by gentle hand washing in bathtub then lying flat to remove excess water then tumble dry on liw with tennis balls, did it twice and still my sleeping bag is flat and lumpy. . . ."
Not good enough
"My down jacket is light blue and I bought this product and have used ir twice in washing machine 30 degrees wash and the jacket is still dirty. I would say it does not take any stains out. The mud stains are still there."

- Can this Down Wash Concentrate be used for ski pants & ski jackets as well? How different is this product compared to the Performance Wash? Thanks!
- The down wash is recommended for down products only so we cannot recommend that for ski pants or jackets that are not down insulated. The main difference is the down wash is recommended for down products to gently clean your down possessions, renew their loft and remove any odours and the Performance Wash is not specified for use on down.
- Hi, is this septic tank safe? Thanks
- Grangers products do not contain any hypochlorite's, bleaching agents, anti-bacterial or anti-microbial agents that would harm a septic tank and are therefore safe for use with one.
- Is this suitable for front loader washing machines?
- Yes it is.
- Is this for down sleeping bags? I brought it and followed directions and my sleeping bag is now lumpy...
- Yes this can be used for down sleeping bags, the lumps will be from the down not being dried correctly and so the feathers have clumped together. You would be best to give the sleeping bag another rinse wash and dry it more carefully ensuring to massage any clumps between your fingers to help them spread out and dry.
