Overall great tent but leaked.
"We have used this tent multiple times for over night trips and multiday hikes. It's very solid when it is pitched. The rain runs straight off the fly. Sturdy in the wind. Easy to pitch. Suitable for 2 people, however a little more space would be ideal but its cosy. We placed our bags outside with pack covers on as no space inside the tent. Only down fall it leaked on us twice. Second time my bed got quite wet but thankfully I went to bed when I did and caught it before it got worse, patched with the material that came with the tent. Had to use tape from our first aid kit to repair it as it came with nothing. Unfortunately we got unlucky and lost faith in the product. With more multiday hikes coming up, we couldn't risk it happening a 3rd time. Hopefully this helps someone, havent wrote to turn people off this tent because it is a good size and weight but this was our experience :) Happy shopping!"
great for one person in tropical climate
"Not so good though for two persons. Not enough space for two + gear. Stable in high wind, as long as you manage to pitch it, with the complicated outer fly to be fastened to the poles. I suspect the chosen material will wear out soon after pitching and tearing down the tent a couple of times. Positioning the fly in the right place isn't intuitive and can lead to a wet inner if if you have to pitch the tent in rain and become confused about how to place the fly correctly. The inner tent has super ventilation. The tent is pretty good for direct sun and hot days (bright colour of material), compared to others. It has two doors which is super for using it during daytime as a rain shelter. However, at a regular NZ night in early summer, the inner tent doesn't provide enough shelter from dropping temperatures and dampness, as you can not zip-close the huge lower ventilation windows or the upper ones. A very important detail to be aware of! I bought this tent in Whangarei where it was not pitched in store and staff did not have a clue about the detailed ventilation features of the Bora. The tent is probably super in tropical climate, not in damp and chilly climate. It is not particular leight weight but packs considerably smaller than the Retreat tents."

Do not buy this tent for two people
"There is not enough room for two people even if you top and tail. However this tent is fine for one person and just enough room for for your backpack. Make sure the inner tent does not touch the outer tent to keep the inner tent dry. The NZ climate results in a lot of humidity at night and morning. The full retail cost is excessive and the sale price should be the real RRP value so do not pay more than three hundred maximum. I regret not buying from the north face as their two man tent on sale for three hundred is far far superior."

Worked well, rain and shine
"I took the tent on a week long campground excursion with some rain along the way, it worked very well. I like that the fly clips to the tent so you don’t need to separately support it, though you can if needed be. Helpful pockets, nice vestibules."

"I bought this tent to take on hiking adventures and it great! its small and lightweight, quick to put up, and also to take down. its sturdy once up, and while cosy for two, fits everything you need. The vestibules are great for packs to give a little more space inside."

- The specs say the packed volume is 7.8L, but for your larger Boreas tent the packed volume is 5.2L. Is one of these incorrect?

- What are the internal dimensions the floor. Ie how much room ( length and width) do I have to sleep in for bora 2 person tent
- The inner sleeping area is 132 cm x 214 cm.
- What is the material used for the fly? I need to seam seal and need to know the correct product to purchase.
- The Fly Fabric is seam sealed 50D 290T Polyester Ripstop -2000mm.
- What is the width of the rectangular sleeping area? ie. max mattress width that could fit inside.
