"I saw this jacket whilst visiting the Lake Dist. I wanted to replace my old jacket. This seemed to fit the bill. I orderd this via the Katmandu web site as it was cheaper. It arrived the following day. Which was excellent. Fits perfectly and so far so good. An extra bonus was the free packing bag. Would recommend"

Q&A
- How should I clean this jacket? Can I put it in the washing machine?
- Yes, I would suggest washing this using grangers performance wash in place of your normal detergent, as this is much better for waterproof fabrics. Once you have washed it you can hang it to dry, once it is almost dry put it in the dryer to finish it off, on a low heat. This bit of extra heat will help reactivate the durable water repellent coating on the outside of the jacket.
- Hi, Is this helmet compatible? Ie can i wear a helmet under the hood or on top of hood? I'm after a raincoat for a cycling holiday. Thanks in advance!
- This jacket isn't designed for helmets.
- I cant see the waterproof or breathability rating online. I was told in store than waterproof is 28000 and breathability is 17000. Is this correct?
- 28,000 is correct for the waterproof rating of this jacket, however Gortex now uses the RET measurement for breathability, on this rating this jacket scores < 9 m²Pa/W which falls into the category of good or very breathable. - Hi Team, how often should this jacket be washed/reproofed
- That depends on how often it is used and the use it gets however keeping the jacket clean will keep it performing at it's best. If you use it on a multi-day trip then good to give it a wash afterwards, if you haven't used it for a few weeks and have a trip coming up then it can be good to give it a wash before heading away If you notice the rain not beading off the jacket as it normally would then that is a good time to re-proof it.
