1. Comet Water Repellent Down Sleeping Bag

Comet Water Repellent Down Sleeping Bag

Kathmandu offer bags in the following sizes:
 Mummy Semi-Rectangular Rectangular
Regular 70cm x 206cm 72cm x 211cm< 76cm x 211cm
Large 72cm x 220cm 74cm x 225cm 78cm x 225cm
Mummy

Mummy bags, with their wider cut shoulders and narrow feet are the most efficient when it comes to weight and warmth. These bags conform more closely to your shape and only require minimal body heat to warm up. They encase you ‘like a mummy’ and may be restrictive and less roomy than other bags.

Semi-Rectangular

Semi-Rectangular bags with their tapered foot (more room than the Mummy) and contoured hood are a good compromise. These bags provide ample sleeping space at the torso for comfort.

Rectangular

Rectangular types offer more space and are cooler than others, letting you move easily within the bag. Because of the larger top opening, heat can escape more easily.

Questions & Answers

Just wondering if the bags are EN tested for temperature ratings? Trying to get a gauge for myself instead of th feedback from others.

Asked by: Michelle12s
Yes, any bag with a hood and temperature rating is tested using EN standard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy. I bought this sleeping bag a few months ago to use for tramping and hiking as it is very compact but I have to say that is the only good thing about this sleeping bag. The temperature rating on the side of the bag is completely false! I used this bag on summer nights in NZ and I was absolutely freezing... The bag very small and the down isn't sufficient. My feet were absolutely and legs were very cold all night. I would not recommend this sleeping bag at all. will be returning

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Adequate budget sleeping bag In spite of being made in a mummy shape, this is a very basic quilted bag. The outer shell and lining are straight sewn together, with the bare minimum of the cheapest down available. No tuck stitching, 3d baffles, etc., to be found here. About the only thing good about this bag is its compact size and mummy shape. Also, although the bag is long enough for my 180cm height/length, I have trouble getting my head into the hood as I have a neck. This bag would suit any neckless person who has skinny legs and gigantic torso.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Glastonbury! Really warm, both as a sleeping bag and when unzipped as a duvet. Great for Glastonbury music festival. Packs down nice and small, so it didn’t take up too much space in the suitcase for the rest of the holiday.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heading for Scotland I have only tried this locally but we are heading to Scotland in August so will see but so far great to sleep in and incredibly tiny for packing on the motorcycle. Size does matter,on the bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weight and space saving Used the Comet sleeping bag for summer hike up the Hollyford valley. Saved a lot of space and weight. Warm enough as we were sleeping in huts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended cold and wet The sleeping bag is unfortunately not recommended. I tested the sleeping bag 2 months. In the huts and in the campsite. I feel always wet in the sleeping bag and he feels cold. This one always feels cold. Unfortunately, the return was not possible
