Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have I bought this a month ago and I love the fact that it's warm, lightweight and compact. Good to leave in the car especially with Melbourne's weather, you never know when you need it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket I've ever purchased! Bought this for a trip to Tassie and it did NOT disappoint! It kept me at a comfortable warmth, I would layer it with a jumper and thermal top if I needed extra warmth. The best part about this jacket however, is when the weather starts to warm up and you need to take a layer off, you don't have to carry a bulky jacket around all day...you simply fold it into the pocket and zip it up and the tiny little thing just fits into my backpack. Genius!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight jacket Very happy with this jacket, love that the wind and rain stays out and keeps me warm. Handy that it can be rolled up into it's hood. Pockets are decent sized and great that they have zippers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flattering cut I bought one each of these jackets for myself and my teenage daughter last winter, expecting it to be super warm... it’s not as warm as I thought it would be BUT it does provide a little warmth, the sizing is generous, the cut of the jacket is super flattering, and it goes with pretty much anything. The 2 outside zippered pockets, and 2 large inside stash pockets, are a great feature. The length is good, the hood is a generous size, there’s room under the jacket for a couple of layers, and I got the jackets on sale for 50% off which was pretty awesome. I wear mine a few days a week whether it be to the gym in the freezing cold mornings, out shopping, or to outdoor BBQs with friends in the chilly evening. It has become a cool weather wardrobe staple for me. My daughter enjoys hers too.

How do I fluff up my heli jacket - it seems very thin.

Asked by: MandzP
Your jacket may need a wash to fluff up the feathers. The basic washing instructions are below: 1. Machine-wash your down jacket on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees °C. 2. Carefully remove your down jacket and lay flat to dry on a clothing rack. 3. Put it in the tumble drier on a low heat. 4. Throw in two to three tennis balls, or Granger’s drying balls. 5. Gently fluff up the down jacket. The drying of a down jacket is the most important part: Once the wash is complete, carefully remove your down jacket — it'll be heavy — and lay flat to dry on a clothing rack. As you do this, gently fluff up the down. It’ll take around 24–48 hours to drip dry depending on the weather conditions. As it dries, keep giving it the occasional fluff, particularly around any wet clumps of down. When the down jacket is almost dry, put it in the tumble drier on a low heat and check it regularly. To maximise the loft of your down jacket, throw in two to three tennis balls, or Granger’s reusable drying balls. This will really help fluff up your down jacket.

Is there a temperature rating for this jacket, e.g. warm up to 30 degrees F, etc.? It probably depends what you are wearing under it but say if you just have a t-shirt on with it?

Asked by: tereza
Our jackets do not have temperature ratings as there are many factors that contribute to your overall warmth while wearing a jacket - personal metabolism, rain, wind, humidity, and exertion level however this is suitable insulated jacket for warmth and versatile for using as layering.

Is this jacket waterproof. Thanks

Asked by: Sandra c
This jacket is water resistant only. This is coated with a DWR treatment which is Durable Water Repellent. It does not have a waterproofness rating, as it is only water resistant, not waterproof. We recommend suitable for light rain or showers as down feathers do not perform well if damp.

Are small fittings

Asked by: Jodea
As a curvy woman I have always found Kathmandu clothing to be slim fitting and too snug. Definitely go up a size if you have curves
