Aikman Men's Lightweight Fleece Jacket v2 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shoulder not moulding around, reverse bad zipper The shoulder is not moulding or fitting around your shoulder properly and is feeling like a military jacket, not because you are think but because its poorly designed while all the jacke its fit to your size the shoulders are like old fashioned foamed shoulders , just doesnt look and feel like the photo of it you see here, must try it! secondly, the zip is reversed(like womens jackets) and its poorly designed with rough material very hard to zip.the material looks like an old rice bag! i love kathmandu and buy quite alot , bt this one is not to purchase, or at least go in store and try it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and very stylish My partner bought this for me a while ago and it's become a part of my regular wardrobe. I just love the blue/black material. It looks great with jeans. It has a warm fleecy inner and pockets and the high collar keeps the winter cold out. It's wind resistant and exceptionally comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's not black! Bought this today in Kathmandu's sale after being attracted to the colour. Very versatile. First "L" I tried was tight in the arms so went to "XL" - too big. Tried another "L" perfect. Lovely and warm without weight. Definitely try before you buy. Great jacket for the price. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dressy fleece mid-layer I know what Belconner means re the fit of this jacket. It has narrow sleeves which makes the shoulders feel tight. The zip is reversed as Belconner says...sorry Kathmandu Customer Service you are wrong. However I think both these features are intended to make the Aikman a perfect mid-layer jacket. I purchased my jacket as I was looking for a dressier alternative to my polar fleece & puffer for travelling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Multi-Purpose Jacket! The Kathmandu Aikman Fleece Jacket is a versatile and warm jacket that is breathable and can be used in a variety of environments. There are, however, a couple of flaws in the fit of this jacket, so I recommend trying on this jacket in-store buying it. QUICK OVERVIEW: The Good: - Warm and breathable altica200 fleece keeps you warm without overheating - Great breathability makes this a great mid-layer for use underneath a down jacket, meaning the warm of the puffer gets through to your skin - Style and colouring makes this jacket suit any environment and goes with just about anything you wear - Hand-warming pockets keep your hands very warm, good for pianists before a concert - Semi-water repellency is good for drizzle and light rain The Bad: - The jacket is a bit long for the length of its sleeves, so try it on in-store before buying - The sleeves may be a little bit tight for some people, so again, try it on in-store before buying - The jacket does lose a bit of its vibrant colouring, as to be expected with any sweater-style jacket - The jacket can be a little loose at the bottom while wearing on its own, meaning that the wind can sweep up and make you feel cold. - The jacket does attract little bits of fluff, but as with any sweater-style jacket, these can be tedious to remove. DETAILED REVIEW: Design & Features This jacket has an urban, contemporary sweater-like design which suits all environments very well. No matter if you are walking the city streets or trampling through the bush, this jacket’s styling will keep you looking (and feeling) at home. It is very lightweight, meaning that you can take it just about anywhere. The jacket did fit me very well. While wearing it, I felt that sort of ‘cosy feeling’ because of the soft sweater material and the warm fleece on the inside. If you are going to be doing a lot of active stuff with this (i.e professional sports that require lots of flexibility in clothes) then you should probably look at either some of Kathmandu’s driMOTION products or if you are going into sub-zero temperatures, the Kathmandu XT Sunra Fleece Jacket. If you are looking for warmth and style, pick this one. The length of this jacket is a little bit too long, meaning that the sleeves could be a bit short for some people. The sleeves could also be a little tight for some people as well. Definitely try before you buy with this jacket. The high neck on this jacket looks and works really well as well. The grey fleece in the high neck gives a nice amount of contrast of colours to the jacket, meaning that it isn’t too blue or too orange. The hand-warming pockets are an awesome feature if you are wearing this on its own. They give off a nice amount of heat, but the brushed material on used in these pockets can be a little bit static or feel a little funny at times. All in all, this jacket’s style is really suiting to any environment and the handy features included add more value to the price. Performance: In my opinion, this jacket performs extremely well, considering that Kathmandu recommends this jacket for ‘adventure in cooler climates.’ I find this a little bit of an understatement. Kathmandu’s statement makes perfect sense when you are just going to be wearing a thermaPLUS thermal underneath and that’s it. But as soon as you slip on that Epiq Down Jacket on top, this jacket becomes a power-house mid-layer. This jacket performs well on its own in temperatures ranging between 13-18° C but using a down jacket as a shell, you could easily take this thing to the snow and be very comfortable. The breathability-warmth ratio is amazing. This jacket keeps you very warm without overheating, which is great for when you are doing day walks. This breathability is also a plus when using it as a mid layer because I find that the body head passes through the jacket and onto the down jacket, then the down jacket circulates that body heat, and then the jacket lets the heat back in well. This is also a very lightweight jacket, meaning it is good for travel. It doesn’t pack down very small like a down jacket, though. In my personal opinion, I would buy this jacket purely for its performance. Well done Kathmandu for achieving this level of performance. Verdict: If this jacket is on sale and fits you well, then definitely buy it. Trust me, you won’t regret it. Happy Travels!
