Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and lightweight I like it carry’s a water pouch. Could be handy to have a pocket on the outside but maybe it would defeat its style. Was in Glenorchy at Aro Hā and a wet tramp. Contents inside got saturated so really need a waterproof liner bag inside. I like the orange clip buckle inside as can carry my dogs ball thrower on here holding it in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features Bought this for travel into Central Australia and many day hikes and walking etc as well as using as cabin luggage on my flights and it was perfect especially with the water bottle pocket on the side and internal iPad or water bladder sleeve, it was also big enough to carry everything I needed easily and very comfortable shoulder straps not a problem to wear all day

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything is says on the tin Super handy day pack that's spacious and comfy. Managed to pack lunch and some additional lenses into it for a long day hike. A cheeky Kea was able to open the zipper and steal some crackers though so maybe a tougher zipper? Ha!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit and functionality! Perfect balance of pockets, but lightweight. I'm five foot, so I cant carry much and the lighweight backpack is just the right balance of pockets and accessibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love this bag! I have just worn this bag on an advanced track day hike. The bag is super light but fits so much in it, a down jacket, water, lunch, spare clothes and other essentials. The removable seat is a great extra, there is room for a water bladder, the side pocket for a bottle is deep and the loops on the outside were excellent for hanging my shoes on when doing river crossings. I can't recommend this bag enough. It is the only bag I can wear without getting a sore back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I bought this to replace my 15L pocket pack which is maybe 6 years old, the stitching is just starting to fray a little and the colour has faded from strong sun. I got this one because the pocket packs no longer come with a waist/hip strap which I find useful to transfer some weight on long walks and stop the pack swinging on rough terrain. This is a similar material and I expect good mileage too. I used this as my travel / hiking bag for 2 weeks in Madeira. I removed the sitting mat and used the sleeve for my laptop when travelling, then swapped it out for a hydration bladder on hikes, when going swimming the sleeve held my towel. Very versatile and the slight structure is enough to stop the bag slouching over. The bucket opening makes it easy to look inside the bag, however I found when it’s not full it ‘bags out’ with air. I was underestimating the space I was taking on narrow trails because of this and brushed up against rock and trees. Compressions straps would have been useful, though I get that adds weight. The pocket pack just slouches when not full so doesn’t take up more space. I missed the secure zipped pocket from the pocket pack, there is only one externally accessible side bottle pocket. Rather than a bottle I ended up using this for mask, sanitiser, wipes, fruit, and occasionally my small wallet or phone for quick access (which is not ideal as not secure). The internal mesh zip pocket is useful for small items but it’s not quick access. If this came in a smaller size (since you can add capacity using the daisy chains), or had compression straps, and an extra outside access pocket that is secure/zipped in the lid, front or side, that would make it perfect! I purchased this just before the price increase, it was good value before but now probably average compared to other offerings on the market.

Can I wash this in the washing machine?

Asked by: BG0311
No, we recommend brushing off any loose dirt and spot cleaning with warm water and mild detergent. You shouldn't submerge the backpack, bleach, iron or dryclean it. Air dry out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
