Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sturdy but noisy Just bought this and have been using for the last week for my 4 and 6 year old. Assembly was easy and it is pretty sturdy. However we have found it makes a lot of noise when they squirm at night from the fabric rubbing on the poles. I’m surprised no other reviews have mentioned it so not sure if my kids are just squirmier than most. We managed to solve the problem though by running strips of baking paper under the fabric. Overall it’s great for camping now

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The kids love it I brought this a month or so ago and put it together to see how it looked, the kids 9 and 7 have slept in it ever since, they just think its great. Very sturdy, and the fact you can split up to a single means its not just great for camping but visitors as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable We bought the bunk set to accommodate an overflow of visiting grandchildren. They were perfect. Easy to assemble and comfortable. No hesitation in recommending this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in our horse float! Staff went above and beyond to source these for me. I bought two sets for use in our horse float. We set up up as a bunk and decided to leave the top bunk off one. Kids were safe and sound in the float and LOVED them (So much so that they want to "camp" at home on them).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and sturdy Bought a couple of these bunk beds, a set as bunks and the other as 2 single beds. They served us very well over the 5 days of camp. Unlike an airbed, it was a lot easier to get in and out of as they don't sink down. The solid frame was great for support. Installation was very intuitive and the carry case very handy and made of strong material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much easier This bunk bed set version is much easier to put together than the first version (which we also have). Great space saver. Comfortable for the children to sleep on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids love it Bought so we could fit all kids in one room of the tent and wondered why we haven't before. Easy to assemble, sturdy, and comfortable.

How easy are these to put up? We had a different set and hate it due to the difficulty

Asked by: Kiwis who fly
This bunk bed has not had any changes so the process of assembling this is the same.

Will this double bed fit inside Retreat 80 camping tent ?

Asked by: HariEmani
The floor area of the Retreat 80 is 220 cm x 230 cm so yes this would fit on the floor set up as one bed. The biggest concern would be how much head space you want for the top person if these are set up as bunks. The internal height of the tent is 138 cm and when the bunks are set up the top bunk sits at 90 cm high.

Is there a support of some sort through the middle of these beds? Just wondered how they don’t sag in the middle with only legs at each end. Thanks.

Asked by: Carla75
No these bunks do not have a bar in the middle which is great because this makes them a lot more comfortable. They are tested for their strength and are very stable with the frame around the bed and the legs at each end. These stretchers sleeps people up to 100kgs (and up to 80kg on top when used as bunks)

Newbie here! Do you need to use a mattress in the bunks too, or a foam sleeping mat??

Asked by: Blenda
These bunks are great and comfortable with or without a sleeping mat! If you did want to use a sleeping mat or something similar, the biggest benefit is the warmth it would provide.

Hi there, wondering if this bunk squeaks with movement at all?

Asked by: HorseyUK
I've had mine for over a year and had many camping trips with the kids, no movement or squeaks, I guess it depends on how robust your lateral movements are!
