Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so waterproof, not drizzle proof. I bought this jacket with a view to use it on a planned walk of the Camino in Spain later this year. I went for a walk today on the trails at Tarra Bulga N.P. at Balook, Vic; it was drizzling for the 5 hours I walked. The hood was on all the time but most of my under clothing was wet when I took the jacket off. I was assured by staff as waterproof as Gortex just not as durable. Disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smart and practical This is just what I was looking for, lightweight rain jacket to keep in the car. Fits nicely and good looking, I just hope I don't need to use it too much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT waterproof My jacket is labelled “ngx2.5” although not specified further and is about two years old. It is certified to be “waterproof”, “windproof” and “breathable”: it is neither waterproof nor wind proof, though certainly breathable. It has been ok in light showers in Australia and China. However, in October in northern Germany I was caught in a hailstorm. The wet and cold went right through to my skin. Had the wind been stronger (my umbrella was of no use), I could have caught a severe chill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cycle commuting rain jacket. So I ride to and from work, in all weathers. I bought a XXL and its only barely big enough. The fit is good, just that the arms are a bit short for riding. I like the second/lower zip head, which lets me open the bottom about 10 cm and the flaps lie on my thighs rather than focussing rainwater into my waistband while riding. The hood is a bit small and kinda useless. Would benefit from either being removable, or at least have some way to secure it. When riding the hood acts as a parachute. Even tucking the hood into the collar doesn't help for long because it works its way out. The velcro sleeve cuff straps are surprisingly good. Not sure how the velcro will hold up over time, but when riding it stops the wind blowing up your arms and chilling there. Sleeves could be longer, but I'm already lanky. Generally speaking, the material feels light and is comfortable to wear. It rolls up to a reasonably small size but not tiny. Water beads nicely on the outside in the rain. I don't know how durable this waterproofness will be, time will tell. So far I haven't found any unusual or odd care instructions. I did not buy the liner fleece because when riding, keeping warm is less of an issue. I will add some rear reflective tape too. The other feature I'd have liked would be pit zips for cooling. Perhaps KML can come up with some cycling-specific clothing.
