Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great roomy tent Brought this about 2 months ago. was great as a stand alone tent to keep little people in when camping weather turned. we were informed that is would fit our 360 retreat the older model which is doesn't but we just made do and if going somewhere for a night or 2 will consider only taken the hub to sleep in

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We bought one of the first Hub tents, so there were no reviews to read prior. Initially, the Hub proved to be a great addition to our camping set-up. We loved the space and ended up using this tent as social tent for larger groups. However, on only our second trip, we started having problems with the steel poles. I'll give credit to the customer service of the Kathmandu team. Their after sales service was great, but rarely a trip did not end in a split pole, sheared screw or a snapped piece of plastic. It got to the point where we stopped packing the Hub when going away! On a separate visit to a Katmandu store, I mentioned these troubles to an assistant. Surprisingly, there is a 3 years warranty on the Hub, so we ended up having the original PP credited and we bought the Retreat 360.....A far better tent...WITH FLEXIBLE POLES!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but not great This is great once up, but is an absolute pain to put up. Also does not fit as seamlessly as we’d like with the tent coming in to the hub and difficult to keep water tight like that. Very big and a nice handy space that you can close off from the elements, but not really worth it. Very expensive compared to other dome gazebos and for us it takes at least 3 adults (needing one tall one in particular) and is just way too much effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Space An amazing space which works super well for camping and every day use. I have used it on six separate occasions, 4 x camping and 2 x in the back yard for Christmas and Birthday party’s. It has a lot of pegs and guy ropes all of which must be used in order to keep the Hub where you want it in the wind and when raining. I have never had it leak when raining. Their is enough space to use it as a lounge when camping or an all in one area. Personally we set up 3 x retreat 40 tents inside the hub when camping in winter to provide extra warmth. It takes a little time to set the hub up, first time we set it up with three adults, 2 x outside and 1 x inside we are all short people averaging 5ft 2. After having set it up 5 more times it only needs 2 x adults to set up both on the outside. The best item for camping I have ever purchased thank you Kathmandu

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compass Hub The hub is big but easy to assemble. We were only two adults and it was up in less than half an hour. Fits in perfect with our tent and gives it the living space that you need for those rainy days. The Kids loved it and the hub makes it ideal to have fellow campers come over for a cuppa.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bigger than we thought! We purchased this especially for hosting a large gathering of people around/in during the peak of summer. The shade was most welcome, and being able to zip up or down certain doors meant we could move with the sun- selecting when and where there was shade. It was big to put up, which- we aren't complaining about the size, but it was heavy and needed some hefty boys. May I also add that this was up during an extremely windy few days, winds of 30-40km and gusting up to 120km at times. We sure got battered about, and the tent really shouldn't of been up still in those conditions- but taking it down seemed impossible. I wouldn't recommend it being pitched in such extreme wind, - but, be sure to know, its strong!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spacious, comfortable and good quality We did heaps of reviews tossing and turning whether we should get the Compass Hub. We read heaps of reviews of it taking ages and needing more than one person to put up. We have 3 kids and a baby under 1 so I had to help just lift the middle. Super Easy and Quick to put up, hubby managed to do it all really quickly. Great addition for evenings and when it’s raining. Highly recommend!!! We did see an old compass hub and saw what the fuss was about it looked like a nightmare to put up but the new one is fantastic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We didn't use it as a tent We were going to have a barbecue party and it was raining. The Hub was brilliant. AND it works as a tent
