Could have been a classicProcrastinated in the Kathmandu Shop for a long while about this jacket. Loved the texture and colour. Choosing size was the issue.
Stats: 182cm tall (6ft), 42 inch chest, 80kgs, 33 inch waist. I ended up buying the small because I prefer a fitted look and feel (Acota jacket in Small fits me). Lived with it for a couple of hours at home and realised it wasn't going to work. Fitted in the shoulders, arm length, neck slightly tight, but definitely not long enough in torso length. Bottom of garment is not elasticised. When you reach for something the jacket stays ridden up. Exchanged for Medium. Overall better, however, torso is billowy.
Like this jacket a lot and is a welcome addition from Kathmandu. A lot more stylish than they normally get. Just trying to work out how to take some of the Dad's body width out of the torso.
Additional: Under arm is gusseted. I figure warmth factor sits around 200. The jacket moults. Once satisfied with purchase wash separate.
Don't know if it's right for the Trail as per description as it looks like it could snag easy. Probably more camp wear or as pyjama top. Exceptionally light fabric and packs down to next to nothing, which makes it more user friendly than possibly every other fleece they sell.
Lastly, looks brilliant over a plain white t shirt, with jeans.
