DWR Durable Water Repellency

A Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish bonds to the textile fibres to make them water resistant by forcing water to bead on the surface and therefore preventing water from saturating the fabric.

It is important to either tumble dry or iron garments (according to the care instructions) after washing as this restores the DWR of the face fabric. If water fails to bead up on the surface of your cleaned and tumble-dried garment, its DWR treatment has reached the end of its useful life. The result is a damp and clammy feeling as if your garment were leaking, even when it's not. We recommend applying a water repellency restorative treatment such as Nikwax TX Direct Spray On.

GORE^™ Micro Grid Backer Technology

Using an innovative patent-pending internal backer fabric to improves garment comfort and performance, this new technology improves internal abrasion and snag resistance, enhances garment breathability and decreases garment weight. It also allows the garment to slide easily over mid-layers.
