Kathmandu is a proud supporter of the Great Walk to Beijing - an epic journey to raise funds for and awareness of a positive approach to cancer care and wellness.
Olivia Newton-John and a team high-profile international celebrities, Olympians, business leaders, corporate partners and cancer survivors will embark on a mountain trek with 40-degree gradients, winding through dust storms into the Gobi Desert along sections of the Great Wall of China, as they head to Beijing over 21 days from 7th April 2008.
Funds raised will help create the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre - a comprehensive cancer treatment and international research centre, for all types cancer, with patient-centre care and a Wellness Centre to help heal the whole person - body, mind and spirit.
